Leo was a friend to all who knew him, he was a father figure to all of us project brats. He gave us all jobs to earn a few bucks. He always treated you fair and tried to help you in any way he could. If you needed a career he would get you into the bagel bakers union, what ever it took. Even though I lost contact with him for many years and only recently saw him again, he will be remembered by me fondly as a most kind and wonderful person, and will forever be in my thoughts. |

For the first semester of our sophmore year, we went to school at Madison, kind late afternoons. I actually remember taking my Geometry Regent in the lunch room, as there were not enough proctors. I admit that I hated it then. But time and wisdom changes the focus. I have had an amazingly full life and recognize that my strengths and weaknesses were nurtured during this time. I have 4 grown kids (hooray, all out of the house). I'm a prison administrator living in Woodstock. It's not a big leap from Brooklyn to prison.
