Our little garden apartment development had loads of typical post-WW II families with 2 kids and stay-at-home moms, making Brooklyn Avenue like a small town where you could always find a friendly adult if you wanted a drink or had a cut or bruise needing attention. |

I am signing in again because my typing below is a little messed up, and I have more to add anyway. Lived on East 55th street between church and snyder avenue. Had Dr. Isersen as a family doctor (remember him, and remember when there were family doctors who made house calls with their little black bags??) Went to P>S> 244, Myer Levin, and Tilden, also went to Kingsboro for a year and a half. I was always playing piano back then, and now I fulfilled my dream of music, by playing keyboard and being a singer and entertainer. I also play piano and played at the Garden city hotel a few times. I was in a few rock bands also. I loved that old neighborhood. I remember the best chinese restaurant in the world, Fong fong and the owner who had a big black beautymark on his face. Graduated tilden in l970. Does anyone know what happened to Gail Pollack, Patty Gottlieb, Linda Denis, Anne Rosenblatt, those are a few names coming to my mind.
